Too much to handle

What's happening is too much to handle. Things are going on so quickly that we're passing from bad to worse. Everyday we say what can get worse and it just comes the next day. What happened today must not happen again. Both sides are on the edge. Today it was the first time that hezballa issue a statement concerning the incident and to actually answer Walid Jumblatt. In all of that I can't see except one man, I've never believed that for once I'd be saying that. But yes I guess today I believe more that Michel Aoun is the solution. He is the one who came as a saviour and he's the one who can handle what's happening. lebanon needs you general, we need you, we need your wise words, your strong personality, we need you to fight the evil powers that are standing at our doors, that want to destroy our lebanon.

Day after day my belief increases that a war is going to happen. Things have gone to the worst. What can make them more worse. The problem is that everybody is stuck to their views and attacking each other. I talked to a friend of mine yesterday that I haven't spoken too for so long. He was watching Geagea on TV and he was really mad and angry that I felt so sorry that people listen to so-called leaders and their words affects them and turns all their feelings to hatred and anger. My friend is ready to hold weapons today to fight and will from LF to take over the "christian " areas again. I wanted to ask him what about our "muslim" areas. I just didn't want to increase his tension more. He is ready to defend the honours of his sisters and mothers. It is just the tone of war again and again. Sectarianism is at its most. All what we have been talking about in the last year has gone in the wind. All the happy tears we shed in March 14th are being shed today for the sadness and the miserable situation the country is passing through. Lebanon has really transferred after February 14th. February 14th is just one month from now. Will it be another war?

I just can't imagine anything. This is a country that never rests. Will we ever survive another war? I hope I'm just pessimistic and nothing would happen. I Hope and I pray for all that works now is praying that god's paradise on earth would never turn to hell again.

It's just like yesterday.... Another new year....
I always hoped that new year would be something new just as it's name....
Well.... It was always just the same :p

This year was full of many things.
Many times felt that this is the best year I've ever passed through, many times felt it was the worst, but to say that it was just like another year, I'm lying, it was totally different.
I still can't believe that PM Rafic el Hariri is no more between us, I still hear his words, I still wait to see him on Future Tv news, what did he do today, his nice words talking about unity, giving hope that Lebanon is going towards great and glorious days, he gave me hope that one day I'd be able to return to Lebanon and live happily with my family, he gave me hope that I'd return and see my sisters, the sisters that I always wanted to see but never could. It was valentine's day, and they killed our valentine. Their greedy dark souls never wanted us to live in peace, never wanted the Lebanese to have a great man to support. They thought he's just another man that we would forget sooner or later, well this is hard. He's just the man we always dreamt of, he's hard to forget.
Rafic el hariri's death was a turnover to Lebanon, after 1559, his death united the people. The awakeness of the people made them realize the dark they were living in. Lebanon was never that united. The lebanese flag that all the people held, the 1559, the brave hearts that stood in Martyr's square, all of this caused the syrians to leave. Although the liberation caused us to lose many great lives and brave men, we cannot get freedom without paying a high price. This year we payed a lot and it caused us severe pain.
Bassel Flaihan, George Hawi, Samir Kassir and Gubran tweini.... names we would never forget. We would never forget Bassel Fleihan's calmness, ambitions, his love for Lebanon. We would never forget George Hawi, the communist that made us love the red scarf, that made us believe that Che never died, he was always there in our hearts whenever the country called. We would never forget Samir and his writings, the writings that made us cheer throughout our sadness during the syrian occupation, that made us believe that freedom never dies, as well as the good people's will. He died but his soul is in every free Lebanese, the Lebanese that trusted him and gave him his word. We will never forget you and we will always stay faithful to this word. We would never forget Gubran Tweini, the parliament's trouble maker, after the so-called free elections, he was the only one that made us laugh in that first parliament meeting, demanding that we congratulate Lebanon for being free, we celebrate the freedom that we always seeked for. Today we won't cry for your death, we will celebrate your martyrdom. To us, these people will always be there, they craved the Lebanese Independance just as the ones we used to read about in our history books, they are the brave ones that will never die.

2006....
As it is the first day in this new year, i hope that this year will bring us change, for the sake of our new generation, the generation we should teach how to love, for love is the only thing that can bring peace.
I hope justice will return, and the people who made Lebanon bleed last year, would be brought to justice and judged for their crimes, the crimes that they have been doing against the lebanese people for more than 30 years....
Last but not least, I hope this year would bring us a new president, and yes his name is General Michel Aoun ..................

P.S: I don't want to be a pessimisst but as the clock turned 12, my jukebox started playing "La Sho el Teghyir"... :p

الناس تصلي ليلة رأس السنة!
لو كانت الصلاة تكفي، لجدّفنا على الله وقلنا ان قلبه قاس، لأنه لم يهب المؤمنين ما آمنوا ان في يده منحهم اياه.
ولكن الله قلبه ليس قاسياً. انه يريد من المصلين ان يؤمنوا بأنه لا يمنح الانسان غير ما يستحق.
والاستحقاق يكون لا بنسبة الايمان، بل بنسبة البذل.
والذين يبذلون من أنفسهم وحدهم يتحررون، ولا يقوى بعد ذلك لا انسان، ولا اله، على استعبادهم !

Tension increased,, war????

Many of us exclude the option that any war is going to happen. The most frequent answer to this question is always, "We have learned from the past". Even asking the question has become a taboo for many who accuse you of being pessimistic and soemtimes, "That's what Syria wants, you want to think as the syrians want you to think?".

It appears to me that many Lebanese are falling in the trap. Asking a question such as "Do you expect a civil war?" is not the problem, since many ofcourse will say no. But what if one happens? These who are saying no, will they participate in it? Most probably yes. Martyr Rafic el Hariri was a peace man, Martyrs Samir Kassir and Gubran Tueini were people who said their opinions loudly thus by killing them, they killed the option of free press, and when killing the word, we're preeching violence. What the killers are doing is keeping the warlords in our country thus by killing intellectuals and thinkers that can preech education and patriotism through words and in a developed manner. they're killing our civilisation , the one that we were taught to not accept war and violence, they're preeching war and violence , they're preeching anger, revenge.

We have always been the Lebanese Civil War generation, but the new generation isn't and thats what they want. They want the new generation to be a generation of war, hatred, violence, anger and revenge. The death of Rafic el Hariri was the beginning and remember it doesnt take one assassination to begin a civil war, it took a lot of tension before the civil war began in 1975..... and many sacrifices. It has always been a part or a sect supporting his view and sticking to it, and none supporting the interest of Lebanon. Everybody wanted to protect himself, leaving Lebanon in an awful condition and a civil war lasting for more than 15 years.

The shadows of the civil war are still there, the fake beauty that they polished Lebanon with is not what Lebanon is, we didn't work well to love each other, to work with each other, to join hands and become one.

Before 1975, nobody said they wanted to have a war too, so remember dear lebanese fellows, we are in a critical condition and a civil war is not so far away if we don't think carefully of Lebanon's interest. we don't need the US, we don't need Syria, We don't need Israel, stop labelling each other for we are all Lebanese , our identity is lebanese, our sect is Lebanese, and nothing but Lebanon is what we should care about.
